Description

As the Internal Audit Manager (IAM), you will play a crucial role in supporting the Chief Audit Executive (CAE) and Audit Committee by executing assigned audits and overseeing the Internal Auditors. Your responsibilities will include conducting thorough analyses, reviews, and assessments of the organization’s corporate governance, risk management, and internal control structures. Additionally, you will lead the implementation of the audit plan to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the CAE and Audit Committee to develop and execute a comprehensive audit plan.
  • Supervise and mentor Internal Auditors, providing guidance and support throughout audit engagements.
  • Conduct detailed assessments of internal controls, identifying weaknesses, and recommending corrective actions to mitigate risks.
  • Prepare clear and concise audit reports, highlighting findings, recommendations, and areas for improvement.
  • Monitor and track the status of audit findings, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of corrective measures.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging risks to enhance audit methodologies and processes.
  • Foster a culture of compliance, integrity, and accountability throughout the organization.

Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CA, CPA, CIA, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of relevant audit experience, including significant exposure to internal audit functions.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify areas of concern.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing effective risk management practices.
